Benefiting since 1996 from an AOC with a unique requirement in the world, Martinique (Flower Island) rightly enjoys a reputation that it owes to the exceptional quality of its Rhum. Protectionist measures issued by mainland France have long shortened the development of the island’s Rhum, which was confined to its sugar producing role.
