About LA FAVORITE
La Favorite is one of the last 2 distilleries in Martinique still independent and family-run and certainly the most artisanal. Founded in 1842, L'Habitation La Favorite was at the time a sugar cane plantation. It was not until 1905 and the purchase of the plantation by Henri Dormoy that it became a distillery. It was then equipped with a steam engine, which is still in operation to this day. This makes La Favorite the only distillery in Martinique to operate entirely on steam.
Even today, the Dormoy family is the guarantor of the preservation of this precious heritage and offers us Rhums Agricoles AOC Martinique with a unique identity.
