The Dormoy Family is a family that counts a lot in the History of the French West Indies. Arriving from Burgundy in 1750, the Dormoy quickly acquired the Habitation Bois-Debout in Capesterre in Guadeloupe. The distillery operated until 1965 before closing its doors for good. In Martinique, it still owns the famous La Favorite distillery, which entered the family in 1905. In 1974, the G&P Dormoy brand (for Geneviève and Pierre) was born in Petit-Bourg. If the brand is mainly known for its rum punches, Geneviève and Pierre also buy a few barrels of rums from their cousins ​​which they bottle under their name.
