About CENTENARIO
It was in 1985 in Costa Rica that Centenario rums were created by Gabriel Diez. The latter selects its rums from one of the oldest active distilleries in the American continent, Fabrica Nacional de Liquor!
These molasses rums are made “tailor-made” by Fabrica Nacional de Liquor following the strict specifications drawn up by Susana Masis, quality manager of Centenario rums. These rums are born from the blend of heavy and light rums from traditional pot stills and columns stills.
For their aging, Centenario rums benefit from the tropical climate of the province of San José in cellars installed at an altitude of 1,200 meters in Curridabat San José where they are aged using the Solera method in old Scotch Whiskey barrels.
