Proud of a history of more than 125 years, L'Habitation Clément is a great classic of Martinique's Rhums Agricoles.
It all began in 1887 when Homère Clément bought Habitation Acajou, then in bankruptcy. It was not until 1917 that Homère Clément set up his distillery there with the aim of supplying the French Army with rum. Upon his death, his son Charles took over the family business and remained at its head for 50 years. It is he who will give Rhum Clément its letters of nobility.
In 2001, Habitation Clément was the first to offer a single-varietal white rum: the now famous Clément Canne Bleue vintage.
Even today, Habitation Clément remains a flagship of Rhum Agricole AOC Martinique and is exported to more than 60 countries.
