About BIELLE
History tells us that in 1769, the Bielle family was already settled on the island of Marie-Galante. She is the head of a coffee plantation employing 32 farmers. In 1826, Nicolas Bielle joined forces with his brother Maximilien Bielle to transform the coffee plantation into a sugar factory.
It was not until the end of the 19th century that the Bielle estate was transformed into a distillery. It will change hands many times and will evolve with each new owner. The Bielle distillery, faithful to French Tradition, has always produced Agricole Rum (made from pure sugar cane juice).
