Rhum JM is an Agricole Rhum benefiting from the AOC Martinique produced since 1845 in Macouba, in the north-east of the island, at the foot of Montagne Pelée. The distillery is located in the middle of the 300 hectares of the Fonds-Préville estate which has existed since 1790. The JM rum factory was founded in 1845 by Jean-Marie Martin, whose initials it takes. In 1914, Gustave Crassous de Médeuil bought the rum factory from the family of Jean-Marie Martin. Since this date, the Crassous de Médeuil heirs have overseen the production of Rhum JM.
