An adventurer at heart, Don Sebastian Serralles left his native Catalonia at the beginning of the 19th century and reached the Caribbean before settling on the island of Puerto Rico. In 1865, after acquiring a sugar cane plantation in the town of Ponce, in the south of the island, Don Serralles brought a still from France and began producing rum. Since then, generation after generation, the Serralles family has strived to produce again and again the finest Puerto Rican rum.
