The Diplomatico distillery, founded in 1959, is located at the foot of the Andes in Venezuela. It manages the entire production process, from field to bottle. Diplomatico uses up to ten varieties of sugar cane, including 3 dominant ones: Romana, Venezuela and Canal Point.

Diplomático rums follow a complex distillation process. Indeed, the distillery has different types of stills (some of which are almost unique in the world), from which it can produce a wide variety of aromatic profiles. Continuous column stills for light rums, the very rare Batch Kettle still for intermediate rums and pot still for the heaviest rums.

All Diplomatico rums benefit from the DOP ("Protected Designation of Origin") "Ron de Venezuela".
