Venezuela

Venezuela is certainly the country of Latin America, where the Rum occupies one of the most important and long-standing reputation. An IG (Denominacion de origenen controlada) has protected the name "Ron de Venezuela" since 2003. In order to claimit, the cane spirit must be aged for at least two years. The style of Venezuelan rums is very varied, and the country produces many different sugar cane spirits, some distilled in pot still, some in columns, light or aromatic, aged in solera system or not, sweetened or not.
