République Dominicaine

The island of Hispaniola is shared between Haiti, on the west coast, and the Dominican Republic, which occupies the rest of the island. Despite a modest place in the history of Rhum, the Dominican Republic is home to two important distilleries, "Brugal", the undisputed leader of the local consumption of Rhums, and AFD (Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos) as well as a blender "Oliver and Oliver", of which many brands are available on the French market. The rums produced on the island have sweet and silky aromatic profiles.
